History

Rajeev Memorial Charitable society was formed in the year 1992 at Kanhileri, Kannur District Kerala with a vision of social and educational development in rural areas of Kannur. Rajeev Memorial College of Teacher Education was established in the year 2007 at Mattannur, Kannur District, Kerala. The college is affiliated to Kannur University and is approved by National council for Teacher Education. We provide training in 5 subjects ( Physical Science, Natural Science, Social Science, Commerce and English).

Professor K Lakshmanan was the founder President of the society and Dr K Parameswaran was the first Principal of the institution.

The college is shifted to a 5.03 acre new campus at Kavumpadi, Thillenkeri, Kannur in the year 2013. Since 17 years the college has been providing quality education and has become a leader in teacher education. The institution has produced many great teachers.

At present Mr K.K Surendran is the President of Rajeev Memorial Charitable Society and Dr K Beena is the Principal of this esteemed institution. We Provide 2 year B Ed course and have an annual intake of 55 students (11 in each Subject)
